GAYLAW BOARD ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS OF D.C. BAR CANDIDATES

The Board of Directors of GAYLAW, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Attorneys of Washington, has endorsed the following candidates for officer positions with the District of Columbia Bar:

President-Elect: Laura A. Possessky

Secretary: Patrick McGlone

Treasurer: Andrea C. Ferster

Board of Governors: H. Guy Collier, Lorelie S. Masters, Marianela Peralta, Veta T. Richardson and R. Justin Smith

ABA House of Delegates: John C. Cruden, Robert J. Hildum and Karen M. Lockwood

The endorsement decisions were based on a number of factors, including the candidates' qualifications, experience, leadership ability and responses to a survey sent annually to D.C. Bar candidates, as well as the personal presentations made by some of the candidates at a recent forum with the Board. The D.C. Bar elections process opens on May 5, 2010. Paper ballots will arrive in the mail shortly thereafter.
